Welcome to the Research Journey

Every meaningful journey begins with a question.

For me, that question was not, "What do I believe?" but rather, "What does the Bible actually teach?"

The journey that eventually became A New Perspective led me far beyond simply reading the Scriptures. It required years of studying biblical history, the original Hebrew and Greek meanings of words, the culture of the ancient world, the history of the early Church, and the writings of respected Christian scholars, historians, and teachers.

This page has been created to share some of that journey with you.

Authors Who Have Influenced My Research

No book is written in isolation.

While the Bible has always remained my primary source and final authority, I have been greatly helped by many respected Christian authors, teachers, historians, and scholars. Their research has challenged my thinking, expanded my understanding, and often prompted me to return to the Scriptures with fresh questions.

The authors listed below have influenced different aspects of my research. Although I may not agree with every conclusion they reach, I value their contribution to biblical study and encourage readers to examine their work alongside Scripture.

Some have deepened my understanding of the Kingdom of God and the role of the Ekklesia. Others have helped illuminate the historical development of the Church, the culture of the biblical world, prayer, spiritual authority, worship, revival, and the unseen spiritual realm.

Among those whose writings have contributed to my journey are:

These authors represent only part of a much broader journey that has included biblical dictionaries, lexicons, historical records, archaeological studies, church history, and many hours of personal study.
